Sessions start at $50 and run 9 weeks per Term. -

James Chapman is an award-winning theatre maker, director, and acting coach with over a decade of professional experience training performers for stage, screen, and live performance.
He has worked with leading youth and independent arts organisations including Hunter Drama, Tantrum Youth Arts, Young People’s Theatre, Aspire and Knock And Run Theatre, contributing to high-quality productions, artist development programs, and innovative contemporary work. His practice spans classical and contemporary theatre, new writing, improvisation, and screen performance, with a strong focus on craft, clarity, and truthful storytelling.
Known for his genuine care, precision, and deep investment in each actor’s growth, his sessions emphasise text analysis, character development, physical and vocal precision, audition technique, and performance psychology. James combines supportive mentorship with exacting artistic standards - equipping performers with the tools, discipline, and confidence required to succeed in demanding professional environments.
